Transaction Account Guarantee Program
“The First National Bank of Wynne is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program, through December 31, 2010. All noninterest-bearing transaction accounts and NOW accounts with an interest rate of .25% or less are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.”
Funds swept or transferred to a non-transaction account or any NOW account paying in excess of .25% continue to be insured by the FDIC up to $250,000, but do not have the FDIC Transaction Account Guarantee.
